                        COQUINA CROSSING HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

Minutes of March 8 , 2011

 

 

Bob Frank: opened the meeting at 7:00. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Pete Schulz and singing of God Bless America led by Bob Frank, accompanied by Audrey Reynolds.

 

Bereavement: Don Sabatini reported that there were two passing’s, Joan Skoczek (3-3) and Chuck Gottschalk (2-23).

 

Minute’s: Minutes were corrected to read Ladies Club would meet on Wednesday 3-23.  Motion was made to accept, second and approved.

 

Treasurer’s report:

Bob Hogan reviewed his report.  A motion was made to accept, second, and approved.

 

Board Reports: A) Bob Frank reported membership was at 225 and counting.

B) Melinda Price gave a  report on the following events: 1) We need six more people to sign up for the arena football trip in order to receive the discount. 2) The Ladies Club meeting on 3-23 will have a master gardener present to discuss proper gardening; and  3) The St. Patrick’s Day is sold out but there is a waiting list.

 

Unfinished Business: none

 

New Business: Michael Rothfeld is working on setting up a data base on medical equipment available in the community.  If you have any type of medical device that may assist another community member, Michael will be able to look in the data base and inform people in need who has such a device.  The device can then be borrowed at no cost.  He also would like to create an emergency data base on residents.  Forms were distributed for residents to provide name, phone number and a contact person and phone number.  If you have any questions contact Michael.

 

Announcements: A) the community garage sale is April 8th and 9th.  There is a $3 fee to purchase a marker that will help pay for advertisement; B) Any items not sold may be donated for the October community garage sale by contacting Mary Schulz; and  C) An Ice cream social may be scheduled for April.
