COQUINA CROSSING HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

 

Minutes of April 12, 2011

 

President, Bob Frank called the meeting to order at 7:00.   Pete Schulz led the Pledge and  Dick Wallis led the singing of God Bless America, accompanied by Audrey Reynolds.

 

Bereavement:  Isabel Laplaza reported we had one passing, Maurice Percy Preble, Jr. on March 30th.

 

Minutes: Motion was made, second, and approved as read.

 

Treasurer’s report: Bob Hogan reviewed his report.  It was motioned to accept, second, and approved.

 

Community Manager, Renie: asked for any question.  None were asked.

 

Board Reports:

A) Bob Frank reported membership was now at 258.

B) Melinda Price thanked Rich Bastedo and his committee for the successful St. Patrick’s Day dinner and Marybeth McCaw for helping organize the garage sale event.

C) There are three upcoming events: 1) May 8th is the Mother’s Day Brunch  at $7.

2) May 31st is a Suns Baseball Game.  There is a sign up sheet on the bulletin board and those signing up will be contacted by Gary Levine. 3)  There is a Spring concert for $6 on April 29th.

 

Announcements:

A) We need garages to store the October garage sale items in.  Contact Mary Schulz.

B) The Women’s Sharing Group donated 216 pounds of food estimated to be valued at $447.

C) The Veterans Memorial Day picnic will have Mark Miner as a guest speaker, a special tribute to spouses of deceased Coquina Veterans, and an explanation of Taps.  The event cost $8 and starts at 11:30 with food starting at noon.

D) May 13th there is a Driver Education class by AARP from 9am to about 4 pm.  Contact Hal at 823-0719.

E) On May 18th the Ladies Club has a speaker on personal safety at 1 pm for $1.
